Reliable vehicle weighing as part of a seamless material flow
A truck scale is the most accurate and efficient instrument for measuring bulk materials and liquids. The scales supplied by Tamtron are EU-type-approved for commercial use, so weighing results can be used as a basis for invoicing. Tamtron has been granted inspection rights to perform maintenance and initial verification of truck scales.
Truck scales are always designed with the customer’s business and operating conditions in mind. Especially in the Nordic countries, the scales’ design must consider the requirements for reliability in extreme winter conditions. Tamtron has delivered more than 1,000 truck scales to industries such as forestry, steel, mining, circular economy, energy production, port and logistics.
Tamtron’s truck scales, combined with the state-of-the-art mScales cloud service software, form a seamless package that can be stand-alone or connected to a business or billing system.
With mScales digital weighing service, weighing is carried out safely and securely from the vehicle via a mobile device. This eliminates the need to maintain driver terminals and other devices.
Key benefits
- Ensure invoicing-ready weighing with EU type-approved, highly accurate truck scales
- Operate reliably even in demanding Nordic winter conditions
- Speed up and automate weighing with the mScales digital service directly from the vehicle
- Manage and transfer weighing data in real time straight to invoicing and business systems
- Rely on a long-lasting solution supported by comprehensive maintenance and remote services

Steel and concrete truck scales
Tamtron supplies truck scales from 12 metres up to 39 metres HCT scales. In addition to these, we manufacture customised bridge solutions for weighing special vehicles, such as dumper trucks. The scales are available in steel and concrete construction for in-ground and surface-mounted applications.
Concrete truck scales are generally intended for fixed installation, while steel truck scales are suitable for applications without a fixed foundation. Such applications include, for example, operating on a leased plot or other project weighing needs.
Surface-mounted truck scale now available with precast foundation
Traditionally, vehicle scales have required a cast-in-place foundation. Foundation costs have risen, and builders’ availability has become more difficult recently. In addition, making cast-in-place foundations takes about a month, considering the different work phases and the drying of the concrete.
For these reasons, Tamtron has developed a cost-effective and fast alternative for setting up a surface-mounted truck scale. The factory-made standard modules can be quickly delivered and easily lifted into place on the compacted soil base, considerably shortening the scale’s commissioning schedule.
mScales digital weighing service automates the weighing process
An existing truck scale can be easily connected to the scalable cloud-based mScales weighing service. It provides accurate, real-time weighing data in digital format. With mScales, weighing operations can be managed centrally, even across multiple locations.
In addition to truck scales, the mScales weighing service can also be used with, for example, onboard weighing systems as well as floor, tank, and belt scales.
