Case: Maintenance and calibration contract ensures UPM has reliable and functional scales

UPM Corporation is a Finnish biofore company operating through six different business areas. UPM provides renewable and responsible solutions and innovates future alternatives to fossil-based solutions. Tamtron has been involved in UPM’s weighing projects. UPM’s laboratories have had a maintenance and accredited* calibration service contract with Tamtron for scales for several years.

Tamtron provides maintenance and calibration services for UPM and is committed to following the UPM’s guidelines for supplier.

“UPM’s pulp and paper mills and research centre have been working with Tamtron for several years, and the cooperation has been good in all respects. We have a service agreement with Tamtron for the scales, which means that the scales are serviced and calibrated once a year or as needed. This has also been very flexible, depending on our needs, and important for us,” says Eeva Korhonen, Research Engineer at UPM’s Research Centre.

Solid expertise in weighing is reassuring

“Tamtron has strong expertise in weighing equipment, so we have been able to rely on the functionality of our scales. The people in charge of this operation are highly professional, friendly, and easy to ask for advice or help. Everything we have agreed on has been carried out on time and with care. As a customer, we have always been satisfied with the service,” says Korhonen.
